The Diocese of Sacramento requires parishes to regularly communicate financial information to parishioners. Here at St. Paul Parish we do this in a number of ways.
The Financial Report includes information relating to the funds which were received in the offertory, donations, and other sources and the amount of money it cost to run the parish in the 2013-2014 fiscal year. It also includes information on Diocesan and special collections as well as the Capital and Building Fund collections.
The Budget Report includes projected estimates in the same categories but for the 2015 fiscal year. The budget is just a spending plan, an estimate of the monies expected to come in and go out. It is, by definition, a fluid document and will change over time as adjustments are made in the rigorous monthly review by the Finance Council and the Pastor. Those changes will be reported to you in your weekly bulletins.
